SChwarz racing Team Members

David Schwarz - Owner and Driver

David is the President of Schwarz Racing and the driver of their 1988 Ford Mustang. Nicknamed "The Professor", he earned his doctorate in biochemistry in 1993 and started his career in drag racing ten years later. After spending two years building his first dedicated race car, he began competition in the PSCA in 2006. With expert guidance from Josh Deeds, the team was a top contender for the Wild Street class championship within three years. In 2010, the team established a new class record and we are ready to challenge for the championship in 2011 .

 

Josh Deeds - Builder and Tuner

Josh, President to Deeds Performance Inc. located in Chatsworth, CA plays an instrumental role in the Schwarz Racing team. With years of experience in forced induction tuning, Josh calls the shots that puts the uPurple People Eater's" power to the pavement. Fueled by a passion for racing brought on as a mere child observing his grandfather racing out on the salt falts of Bonneville, Josh knew early on racing would follow him throughout his lifetime. Today Josh works hand-in-hand with some of drag racing's heavy hitters on both the east and west coast.

 

Brad Harvey - Crew

Brad's motorsports career began right after high school. spending 5 seasons with local NASCAR short track teams. He moved to drag racing full time in 2000, racing in the NHRA, Battle of the Imports, IDRA and IDRC racing associations. In 2006, he took home the coveted Wally Parks trophy at the NHRA Sport Compact Nationals in Las Vegas, NV. He was immediately hired by Revolution Mini Works in 2007 as the driver of their NHRA Quick 16 class Mini Cooper drag car. He switched back to working on V8 powered machines in 2008, and began working with Schwarz Racing in the middle of 2010. When he's not drag racing, he assists with performance driving education, and management of Kl Speed's Indoor Kart Racing Facility in Carlsbad, California.
